Our short film ‘High-Rise & Footie lines documents the omnipresence of football in our lives, and how it can be a support for many people struggling with mental health. The film is inspired by the community work LALA Arts has been doing with the local community of Greater Manchester.
The filmed debuted at The National Football Museum during our Going To The Match community exhibition in partnership with L.S Lowry’s Gong To The Match.
With thanks to our partner organisations:

‘No matter what group we have worked with, one common outcome of the conversations is how football has helped with mental health and sometimes football can become a support system for us, which is a really beautiful thing, and I wanted to document that in a creative and celebratory way’
